Meet Mily

A serious house fire occurred in one of the residential neighborhoods, leading to tragic consequences. Two adults — the parents of the family — died in the fire. However, two children were saved thanks to their family dog named Mily.

According to neighbors, the family lived in the house with two children — a boy named Ethan and a girl named Emily. The family also had a dog who, according to people who knew them, was very attached to the children.

The fire started late at night. Preliminary reports suggest that the fire began in the kitchen and quickly spread throughout the house. While the adults were sleeping, the house began filling with smoke.

Witnesses say the dog was the first to react to the danger. Mily started barking loudly in the children's room and woke them up. When Ethan woke up, he smelled smoke and quickly woke his sister.

Leaving the room was difficult because of the thick smoke. According to neighbors and emergency responders, the dog ran to the door and opened it with her paw, then began moving down the hallway, repeatedly coming back to the children as if guiding them.

The children followed the dog. When they reached the front door, Mily managed to open it with her paw again, allowing Ethan and Emily to run outside.

Neighbors noticed the dog barking and the smoke coming from the house and immediately called the fire department.

By the time firefighters arrived, a large part of the house was already engulfed in flames. The children were quickly taken to medical personnel. Doctors reported that they suffered mild smoke inhalation but did not have serious injuries.

Unfortunately, the parents could not be saved.

After the incident, Ethan and Emily were temporarily placed in a children's shelter where they are receiving care and support.

The dog Mily was later taken to a local kennel. Staff there say she is calm, intelligent, and very friendly with people.

The story quickly spread among local residents. Many people now call Mily a true hero who saved the lives of two children.
